Health care reform

What just blows my mind about the health care reform debate is how a public option will be a slippery slope toward socialism ... or worse. Come on and wake up, this is the United States of America. The current system is broken and we owe it to the world to set an example. If you want to define the Obama administration into a term all can understand it is restoring the worlds confidence in the United States of America. We are the leaders and yet our young go hungry and their parents can't get the health care they need.

Wake up America, our neighbors to the north have some ideas that we could adopt. Thank you to those that helped put this video together, you are true patriots.

Part two?!

I came across an article today as I was aimlessly surfing the Intertubes that made my heart race and remember all that is good and pure in this world. Of course I'm talking about Butterstick. There is a watch starting up this evening to see if Butterstick will have a sibling. You can find the story at National Zoo on Alert for Possible Panda Pregnancy.

Butterstick saw the nation through a very dark time. In the last 8 years Americans stood united on only two separate occasions, September 11th and when China wanted Butterstick back. We fought that fight well and China backed down.

The picture below is Butterstick in the adolescent years, hanging out with the wrong crowd.

And this is a photograph I took in 2006.

Let's all hope that Butterstick will have a sibling. The fate of the nation hinges on this. It will be a Utopian day when war will end, hunger will cease, and republicans will stop obstructing the will of the people. Okay, the last one is beyond hope!

Hello once again!

The life of a blog/blogger ... stuff happens and writing gets put on the back burner. Part of my life deals with depression. I've been depressed for a good portion of my life. Recently I've stopped fighting and went back on meds. I dragged my feet for many years because I felt more creative being blue. Writing is important to me and I've been afraid I'll lose the talent of putting words together. So I am facing up to the depression and hope I can still string a few words together in a coherent manner!

In the coming weeks I'll be putting together a piece about my fight with Bank of America. The problem I am having with the post is determining how much information I should include. Even though this blog is anonymous it really is easy for someone to find out who I am. I have a nice presence on the Internet and am on several social networking sites that link back here. So there is a sense that if I give to many details there could be some identity issues I'd rather not deal with. I started this blog to give my opinions a voice and not have to worry about sugar coating situations. There are times where words need to be aggressive to cause a shock to the system and wake people up to the ugly truth. That may be the allure to Twitter because you are limited to 140 characters.

I'm back!

And what are you?

How to Win a Fight With a Conservative is the ultimate survival guide for political arguments

My Liberal Identity:

You are a Social Justice Crusader, also known as a rights activist. You believe in equality, fairness, and preventing neo-Confederate conservative troglodytes from rolling back fifty years of civil rights gains.

A hat tip to BG for this ... Thanks!

January 20, 2009

Hello gang,

Let me take you back to another time, a time that was so pre 9-11. Yes, let's go back to January 2001. President Clinton and his staff were making way for incoming President GW Bush. It was widely reported that a multitude of "W"'s were missing from computer keyboards. The culprit, of course, was the Clinton administration. While doing some research on this today the actual number of missing "W"'s was between 31 and 62. Nobody really knows for sure because people were interviewed months after and the keyboards had been thrown out.

A couple of questions for you to ponder ...

First, will those missing "W"'s show up in odd places over the next few months? I think that is doubtful because the Bush administration is the most secretive in modern history. Just ask the National Archives.

Second, how many "H"'s will be gone from the computer keyboards? I suspect a multitude will be gone. A parting shot by the Bush administration adding to the economic woes the country faces thanks to their failed policies and petty paybacks.

The only saving grace, they can't blame the missing "H"'s on Bill Clinton! I'm sure the talking heads of FOX will try somehow.

Looking forward to the next 8 years!
